We want to encourage users to get involved on TweetBrain more and plan to refine our current score ranking system. What would be an appealing ranking system on TweetBrain? Can you give a descriptive suggestion?

Rank the answers that are given, and your rank increases the higher your answers have been ranked. This way it gives people and incentive to answer, and answer well and in detail.

I like the idea of a 1 - 5 rating while allowing you to advance in ranks by achieving "points" for higher ranked posts. It might improve the quality of the answers given.

Catagories would be awesome. Groups would be cool. like you could make a question and only the people in your group could see it.

I think adding a size, color, bold/italic/underline tool. It'll enhance what people are asking, and maybe help the answering person understand what they mean. Also, it'll give a creative balance to the site!

ou could have people ranked on a 10 or 100 point ranking system, with either a slider that you click the button and a neat flash animation pops it our with a numeric readout of the number your on, or just a box for manual numeric entry.

Popular votes on whether the question / answer has been helpful in general or not should determine the points earned. Threshold point slabs could be determined and Seniority badges assigned to those who earn them. And of course a robust system to reduce spammy questions. Leaderboards for most popular / helpful questions would be a great resource.

Take a look at http://stackoverflow.com/ They work in the votes, but include number of views and answers at the top level. When you drill to the next level, answers are sortable by new/old/votes. The ranking system is also sized and formatted in a way that gets attention but does not overpower the main content of the problem that needs a solution.

I think an appealing ranking system would be one that allows you to get some kind of reward, like a badge or some sort of thing that shows that you have been actively been using tweet brain.

i would give intensives for users to answer questions on tweetbrain, such as privileges leader boards, customization bonuses, levels and ranks, etc. anything to motivate the average user to want to answer more questions.

I wouldn't do a partner program because your site (no offense) isn't going to generate the kind of income that youtube does enabling them to extend partnerships (fiscal partnerships, that is, however minor). Instead, I'd nix the whole idea of a ranking system--it will only encourage people to post excessive amounts of nonsense to "level up". Come up w a way to sync fbook friends -> twitter.

I don't know what your ranking system is. I read the replies given so far. I go with getting rid of the people who ask stupid questions. Okay, what is a stupid question? At least get rid of those people who post a bunch a questions, all inane, juvenile.

Think: design of the page/s. I think that clear visual information/presentation helps a lot. XO your FAQ page, the words are helpful. For the rank system, on the other hand, I would suggest more of a symbolic form of communication. E.G. stick with the hand icons :) yet, it would be good to change the green or the red slightly so they match/flow more... Love fire image-maybe have scale w 1-5 icons

I think a point system would work really well. Think about this, you could have a certain amount of points for people who referrer and for people who answer questions then you could have people redeem prizes with those points.

Money or points can be a great idea for tweetbrain and the winner of the competition should be announced weekly or monthly basis or daily perhaps that would help in getting the tweetbrain going. Please rate me! ;)

Decide the top 10 most popular Q & A, repost and have users vote on which is the best from that selection. Set a prize such as the best one picked will have their profile on the homepage for more access. I know if I got some advertisement like that I'd be very pleased. Plus, I would take a second to consider if my questions and answers where actually worth posting.

I think that a good way to encourage more users to get involved is by giving fee back to the answer and how the answer benefited or give some value not only to the person that presented the question but to other people that read the answer. It is good to rank the answers based on how many people actually read it. This way the bogus questions wont get even in the picture, i think.

First of all, the admins have to plan out their site and stop the spammers and people who ask silly and bogus questions. Secondly, you can bring about a point system like : Outstanding Answer - 10 POINTER, COMMENDABLE ANSWER - 7 POINTS, GOOD ONE- 3 POINTS and SPAMMING - 0 POINTS AND A RED CARD... GET OUT SPAMMERS!!

Some point system for asking quality questions. It could be fairly simple such as excellent = 4 points; good = 3 points; average = 2 points; below standard = 1 point; awful = 0 points. You could use the same scale for answers with 10 points for the best answer. K.I.S.S so everyone understands and its easy for them to participate and understand.

Maybe something like Yahoo Answers. Points for logging in, answering questions, etc. They would lose points for posting a question and there would also be a level system. Of course it would have to be tweaked because I'm sure you guys don't want a total rip-off of the system.

One of the primary reasons I haven't used TweetBrain much since I first joined is the large number of really bogus questions: "What is your favorite color" and similar. Would love to be able to participate more answering real questions in topics where I have expertise. Then I'd be more likely to post more questions. I'm not sure I have a a great suggestion for how to implement it, though.

I think a reward system if set up properly will work. By having maybe 1-3 points to be rewarded by the question owner will encourage people to spend some time giving great answers. But I would not allow the reward points to be 2 big because then people may begin to spam and give away big points and this would kill TweetBrain.

There should be best question of the week or month or something, Also there should be a point system where by points you can tell, who is good at that area of category, And who is good at asking questions that others might need answers as well. More points the more followers you will likely to get so more people would get involved in Asking and Answering Questions. Hope I helped

I believe you should use to different types of ranking one on questions, that should be ranked by people who answer those questions. How interesting they are or not... And the answers should be ranked by the one who asked the question, how useful was it. That way people won't just answer BS. Maybe the better you are ranked in a category, then you can be asked first when there's a reward.

If you made it into like polling and things like that. many people like that idea. If you made this more organized it would also work. Try having some questions resrticted unless they tweet about TweetBrain. Some examples you can follow is Roflquiz, Who Wore It Best, Disneypolls, and also my favorite PigeonPOLL. These sites have many people on it everyday if adjust 2 this u get people!!!!!!!!!
